The pure fact that this doesn’t even need a title or a description or anything speaks volumes. I mean look at the number of notes this has. There are so few people who don’t recognize it. And the song itself just gives you chills. It’s so magical.

Hello. I have a problem where I'd like to try drawing nsfw stuff seriously, but for some reason I can't get myself to? Even when I look at a nsfw pic that inspires me to try it, I just don't take that leap. Maybe it's that I don't know where to start? idk, what inspires/motivates you to draw nsfw stuff?

For me I started off by finding a tons of reference images for things like anthro/human/pony anatomy, shading styles and poses. I’d recommend going to NFSW blogs you like and saving a few of their images as references for later. They can really come in handy when you’re trying to figure something out! One of my favourite artists to get references from is Skipsy.

Drawing with friends is a great motivator for drawing. If you have some online artist friends, see if you can draw with them in a Google Hangout. Having other people watching you (and you watching them) really motivates you to not be lazy. Also they can critique you and give you advice in real-time!

Another thing that can help is drawing characters that you like. Don’t draw characters that might ‘be popular’ or get you ‘a lot of notes’. Instead, draw characters that you’d find fun to draw or find interesting. I know for a fact I’d much rather draw my friend’s OCs than something like Rainbow Dash or even Vinyl Scratch.

If you don’t know WHAT to draw, try asking your followers! It’s helped me once or twice. See what they’d like if you can’t think of anything on your own. Maybe they’ll come up with something that sounds interesting.

The best part about drawing NSFW stuff is it gives you better knowledge of anatomy. I’ve learned quite a lot from drawing it. So it’s good practice. Just draw what you feel like and look up drawing guides and references if you get stuck. Don’t worry about what other people think either. Over time you’ll start attracting people who like the same sort of stuff you draw.
